    Description

    ARTIFACT: This is a great circa early to mid-1960s Continental Airlines ground crew cap with an attached period IAM (International Association of Machinists) Union celluloid badge and a nice boldly patterned eagle logo on the front. This cap may have been worn by a CASI (Continental Air Service Inc.) employee: CASI was begun in 1965 as a line strictly for United States governmental business in southeast Asia.
    VINTAGE: Circa early to mid-1960s.
    SIZE: Approximate size 7-3/8 or larger.
    MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton sateen/nylon blend, celluloid-wrapped tin, fully embroidered patch in cotton/polyester threads.
    ATTACHMENT: Pin with loop catch on cell.
    MARKINGS: Union marks on cell; tag in cap removed.
