Here's the
1963 Krewe of Venus Plain and Gold Aluminum and Antique Bronze Doubloons (Antique Bronze Serial Number 91---Second Year of Issue)
.
Each doubloon measures 39 mm or 1 1/2" in diameter and is in
Excellent Condition.
Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.
Note:  The obverse features the Venus Logo.  The reverse features Empress Theodora and reads "HONORING HISTORY'S SOVEREIGN QUEENS...EMPRESS THEODORA...ROME...508 - 548 A.D...FEBRUARY 14th, 1963"  The Krewe of Venus was the first All-Female Krewe to hold a Street Parade.  They issued their first doubloons in 1962 and these doubloons in 1963.  The Antique Bronze doubloon has the number "91" stamped into its edge at the 12 o'clock position.  The Doubloon Guide lists the Plain Aluminum doubloon at .00, the Gold Aluminum at .00 and the Antique Bronze doubloon at .00.  G
