Here's the
1970 New Orleans Saints vs. Detroit Lions Plain Aluminum Program
Doubloon Sponsored by the NFL (Pre-Season Game).
The
doubloon
measures 39 mm or 1 1/2" in diameter and is in
Excellent Condition.
Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.
Note:  The obverse features the NFL Logo and reads "NATIONAL CONFERENCE...AMERICAN CONFERENCE
."  The reverse features a Football Quarterback Dropping Back to Throw a Pass and the Logos of both Teams
and reads "NEW ORLEANS SAINTS...DETROIT LIONS...PRE-SEASON...1970."  These doubloons are referred to as "Program Doubloons" because they were glued to the inside of the Saints Home Game Programs.  In order to get the doubloon, one had to purchase a Game Program.  These doubloons were issued in limited number and are quite rare and very hard to find these days.  This doubloon is much, much nicer than it appears in the photos and in Near Pristine Condition
