    Description

American magician, Charles Joseph Carter (1874-1936), known as "Carter The Great".
Carter died of a heart attack February 13th in Bombay, India on his 8th world tour in 1936.
Printed by the Illinois Lithograph company of Chicago.
This 8-sheet poster is extremely rare and contains one of the earliest poster depictions of a sawing in half.
"The Latest Marvel of War-Time Surgery" is referring to World War 1, which ended in 1918,
so this poster probably dates to sometime in the early 1920's.
In very good condition with colors still vibrant 100 years later.
    Professionally mounted on acid-free linen.
