Description
These 5 posters seem to be a set in that they all have the same layout: olive borders, bold COLOGNE KOLN COLONIA at the bottom of each poster, and similar themes (mostly medieval art centered in or around Cologne). They each measure 29-3/4" by 46-1/2". The written notations describe each reproduced masterpiece, the location of the originals, their artists, etc. in several languages. Age is unknown, but the details of one poster reference a museum as being in the German Democratic Republic which ceased to exist by 1990. Condition varies from good to very good with the most common flaws being pinholes at corners, 1" tears at the tops of 2 of the posters, some rumpling along edges, and a couple of long, narrow tears (see final pictures). Frames would cover many of these flaws I should think. Each poster has the same inscription at the very bottom in small black letters: Printed in Germany, Fed. Rep. Shipping in the US is free via priority mail. NB If there is/are one or two posters in this set that interest you, message me through eBay and perhaps we can work something out; I'm not adverse to breaking up the set!
