Hobbs Brockunier Cranberry Opalescent Dewdrop/Hobnail Milk Pitcher-no2 Victorian

One of Hobbs Brockunier popular lines, the dewdrop #323 pattern was first patented June 1, 1886, submitted by William Russell and William Leighton, Jr. Later known as Hobnail, this line sold well and was produced in a myriad of colors and shapes. This line was produced in at least five different sizes of pitchers. Most often the larger sizes turn up in the marketplace, seldom the size number 0, 1 and 2 surface. I believe this example is the no. 2 size which would equate to a milk pitcher.  It stands 5 1/2” tall and measures 5” from spout to back of handle. The girth measures approximately 5” across at the widest area. Thorough examination reveals no chips, cracks, damage or repairs; I see no residual or staining on the inside from use. No cracks or heat checks in the handle or surrounding area of attachment. I cannot find one hobnail with a chip including around the base which usually has some roughness from grinding or use. Very light shelfware visible on the base, normal from usage. A perfectly round pontil visible on bottom, but from molding and not grinding. This pattern was pressed and not blown according to my research. I have provided pictures with and without a flash for accuracy of color and opalescence.
