-listing is a no reserve style auction, high bid wins at the hammer. No offers.
-this amplifier will be double boxed to avoid damage, the end plates are prone to breakage at the tips so I take extra care to avoid it. The shipping price reflects this extra handling, to ensure your item arrives in the condition it was listed in.
-I ship USPS unless told otherwise. I have UPS and Fed Ex available as well, but if you want another carrier please contact me at auction end before paying to make the necessary arrangements. Once the details are ironed out, I will send you a final invoice to pay which reflects the updated shipping price.
-No feedback bids will be cancelled, I can smell a scam a mile away. If you answer my messages at auction end, there will be no problems.
Description:
Up for bids is a JL Audio 1000/1 monoblock subwoofer amplifier, condition is seller refurbished. This amplifier came to me with a blown power supply but no issues with the output section, so I removed all the defective components (MOSFETs and gate resistors) and replaced them. Once the repair was complete I applied fresh thermal grease to the heatsink and verified proper operation. I also did some minor touch ups to the black paint on the end plates, it’s hardly noticeable.

The main reason these amplifiers fail is either they were run into less than a 1.5 ohm load, or the supply wiring was not able to provide the required current. You must run the correct gauge power wires with these, as they are capable or drawing over 100 amps from your charging system. If you use too small a power wire the power supply inside gets taxed and will eventually fail. Run them into rated loads are provide them plenty of current, if you do that they hit hard and return good service for many years.
