Description
This is a pretty green opalescent glass open salt dish - also called salt cellar, dip and salter. It is in one of the most unusual patterns I have ever seen. It is called Eyewinker, but has also been called Cannon Ball and Winking Eye. (It was originally made by Dalzell, Gilmore, & Leighton from 1889!)
The glass is a bright clear green and it has a creamy pale green opalescent trim that runs around the the top edge. The opalescence shows off the pressed pattern beautifully.
Stands appx 1-1/4" tall. Would make a great candle holder too.
New and in mint condition.
An excellent example of hand made pressed glass.
Made by Mosser Glass of Cambridge Ohio.
What a wonderful addition for your collection, a joy to use, and the perfect gift.
