MINT Vintage 1947 NYC Wedding Dress Lilac Purple Satin Long Sleeve Midi Length

This is an absolutely gorgeous wedding dress that belonged to my grandmother, dating to 1947 (she was married in New York City, so the dress would have been purchased there). It's in pristine condition- it shows no signs of wear or age, and has been carefully stored since it was worn
. I am not sure of the fiber content of the material but it is a VERY thick satin brocade, in a pale lilac/lavender color. Parts of the dress appears to be hand-sewn. It has a mandarin neckline with a row of covered buttons up the front and long sleeves with cuffs. True to 40s style, the shoulders are slightly padded. The full skirt is midi length and hits at the calf. It has a matching self-tie sash to be belted at the waist. There is a hidden metal side zipper. Measurements when laid flat: Bust: 18", Waist: 13", Hips: open, Overall length: 25", Shoulders: 15", Sleeves: 24".
