Phoenix Gold MPS-2240 - Classic Made in the USA 2 Channel Cheater Amp

Hey everyone,
If you're reading this, well you pretty much already know what you're looking at. This was one of the "cheater amps" (like Orion 225 HCCA's), and really just a beautiful piece of 1990's Americana at this point if you were into mobile audio back then like I was. I have seen a few of these come/go over the years, and while this is not 10/10, it is in much better condition than some examples.
I am the second owner of this amp. I purchased it in 1999 from a good friend of mine, who I reached out to and confirmed he bought it in 1995. Neither he could recall, nor have I ever had the amp serviced ... it just always worked. I opened the case up to illustrate the capacitors are intact, and do not appear to be visibly leaking. However, I think one would be crazy to put this back in service without a re-cap given its age. The last time I used this in regular service would have been ~2011.
I have hung on to this thing for a long time, but I would really like to see it get into the hands of an enthusiast who will use it again or perhaps even do a restoration on it. This amp really brought back memories to me when I held it, and it was around a lot of great times and moments of my life. These are not common items to come on the market!
The unit powered on, and using my iPhone analog out I was able to hear clean audio to just a random bookshelf speaker I had. I have no way of testing it under actual load at this point. This is a 26 year old electronic item at this point, I am selling it AS-IS.
