RARE Continental Airlines Finance Dept 1988 Performance Prize Mug Galaxy VIP

Description

This mug was owned by a Continental Airlines executive in their Finance Department, and it was given as an award in 1988 for the executive's department's performance that year.  It measures 4" in height and 3.5" in diameter, and from handle to outer rim measures about 5" at its widest. It is shiny black, and has Continental Finance Division in gold lettering on one side and "Pride in Performance Award 1988" on the other. In the background are shadowy Continental logos in a matte black on the shiny black glaze.  It was made by Galaxy VIP, a maker of fine corporate award and brand mugs, available in limited editions through advertising specialty companies only.  I doubt there were more than 20 of these ever made, maybe fewer.
It has been on display as a prize and not used for drinking or even holding pencils on a desk.
There are no signs of wear even on unglazed ring on base, no chips, cracks or crazing, excellent pre-owned condition from owner's collection because of downsizing.  If you collect airline memorabilia or if you know someone who worked for Continental, this would be a great item to own or gift.
