RCA VET250 SelectaVision VCR VHS Top Loader Original Box Remote Manual. Selling “For Parts” Full Story - My uncle recently passed away and had a room full of electronics he either didn’t use, or barely used. This unit looks very lightly used. Comes with the original box, RCA VET250 Unit, instructions, inserts, and extra parts, and remote control. I did a functions check and the unit powers up like normal, you can see a bulb light up where the vhs tape goes. Eject, fast forward, rewind, and stop work normally. When I hit play the tape plays for a bit before it stops itself. I found a few videos on YouTube with similar units that have the same issue. In their case they adjusted a gear and or changed the bands that commonly dried out. I don’t personally know if that’s the issue but that’s what I suspect. Listing and selling as “for parts” at a discount. If it doesn’t sell then I’ll spend time fixing it before listing at full price. It’s honestly such a cool piece of old technology, almost feels like it belongs in a museum.
Listing as “free shipping” as in I’ll take care of the cost. The box is very big and heavy, lol very heavy so I suspect shipping will be expensive.
