Description
The Boeing 757-200 was the original version of this aircraft. It first entered service with Eastern Airlines in 1983. Although designed for short and medium length routes, the 757-200 has since been used in a variety of roles, ranging from high frequency shuttle services to transatlantic routes. A total of 1,049 Boeing 757's of various versions have been delivered.Continental Airlines was a major American carrier founded in 1934 as Varney Speed Lines. In 1981, Texas International Airlines acquired a controlling interest in Continental where it grew into one of the country's largest carriers. In October of 2010 Continental merged with United Airlines. Before the merger, Continental had 41 Boeing 757-200's and 21 Boeing 757-300's (the stretched version) in service. The Continental livery changed to United Airlines on all Continental's aircraft after the merger.
This Continental Airlines Boeing 757-200 with registration number N17128 had its maiden flight on 09 March 1998. On 20 March 1998, this aircraft was delivered to Continental. In November of 2010 the livery was changed to United Airlines where it continues to provide service today.
This 1:200 scale Star Jets reproduction of the Continental Airlines Boeing 757-200 is a highly detailed, limited production, no longer available and difficult model to find in the Continental livery. It has detailed landing gear and excellent Continental Airlines graphics of the era, and comes with a display stand. All sales are final. Shipping to the USA only.
