    Description

Vintage EAPG Style Opalescent Hobnail Tumbler Westmoreland Harry Northwood
In excellent condition with very little wear and use for age.
This Opalescent Hobnail Tumbler is one of those research projects that I have spent too many hours on and here is what I have found. For other sellers to guarantee it was made by either Westmoreland or Harry Northwood...show me the proof.
update 6/6 A kind person emailed me and said it was a Martha Stewart re-make, so perhaps whomever has this mold re-tooled it for her production line. It is a nice reproduction!
This information below proves why it is NOT Westmoreland or Northwood. Even though I have updated the information I am leaving this research below to prove who did NOT make it!
See page 94 of Harry Northwood, The Wheeling Years 1901-1925 and it does show an identical tumbler made by his factory and was called "Flint Opalescent." But the mark on the bottom is NOT a Northwood mark. A possibility is, that when the factory went into receivership in the 1920s and the assets were sold off, this mold went to another factory and put into production with their in mold mark.
However, I have scoured all my glass marks books and have not found this mark.
Other sellers have sold as "Westmoreland" and indeed they did do their Hobnail line called  "American Hobnail" line #77, but the bottom foot rim does not look like this one. None of my research books show this tumbler as Westmoreland.
Also the in mold mark on the bottom is not a Westmoreland mark that I am familiar with nor have I found it in any of my books.
    Pleaseeeeee READ!!!
    I do COMBINED SHIPPING!
If combining shipping please "send request for combined shipping invoice" with revised shipping cost BEFORE you pay! I can not adjust shipping once you pay!!!! It appears Ebay does NOT automatically credit back their commission on the shipping fees that they charge me and Paypal doesn't refund any fees at all anymore!
    U.S. Shipping only...No International Shipping.
Hawaii & Alaska quoted shipping fee with insurance so please request an invoice to pay from. If shipping cost do not cover Hawaii & Alaska I will need to send you another invoice for additional shipping charges.
For the most part on bigger heavier items I calculate shipping from the West Coast California to the East Coast as worst case scenario. If you are on the West Coast or Midwest and want a better shipping cost estimate then just email me with zip code BEFORE you pay. Once you pay I can't adjust the invoice!!! The Post Office Shipping just went up again in January and I try very hard to ship as cheap as possible yet safe and arriving perfect.
