**This item comes from the estate of Clayton Hawkes - Martin Bros. Circus.  Martin Bros. was owned by Clayton and Madge Hawkes.  It's tent show toured in upstate New York in the 1930's and had winter quarters in Castle Creek, NY.  Clayton and Madge had other shows including Clayton's Combined, Bogart and Hawkes, and the Great American School Show which provided kiddie rides for smaller shows.
**I will be listing many vintage ephemera items from this estate (1930's - 1960's) including loose scrapbook newspaper clippings, circus clown ephemera, and personal letters between Clayton Hawkes and various circus and carnival entertainers mentioning some of the biggest shows and tour date information regarding Cole Bros., Ringling Bros., and Century 21 Shows, just to name a few from the 1930's through the 1960's.  Please see all related items under one category CIRCUS EPHEMERA in my store.
