    Description

    This is a very fine WWII Soviet Hero of the Soviet Union Gold Star medal replica that remains in near mint condition. The five-pointed “gold” (polished brass) star is mounted from a red ribbon on the correct screw back suspension frame. The reverse of the star is with a raised border around the edge and incised with the numeral “7”. Below this is the raised letter legend, “ГЕРОŇ – CCCP” (Hero – Soviet Union) on a beautifully stippled background. The threaded screw post is with the securing disk which is marked in raised letters with the mint mark, “монетный двор” (Monetny Dvor). This piece is of the highest quality and a perfect “filler” for an 00-10,000 original.
