Here's the
Extremely Rare 1975 Krewe of Elks-Orleanians Multi-Color Doubloon in Mardi Gras Masks Bezel on a 22" Interwoven Gold Chain.
The
doubloon
measures 39 mm or 1 1/2" in diameter and is in
Excellent Condition.
Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.
Note:  The obverse features the Elks-Orleanians Logo.
The reverse features the
Pilot
Mansion and reads "PITOT MANSION...BAYOU ST. JOHN...KREWE OF ORLEANIANS...1974."  The Krewe of Elks-Orleanians frequently features New Orleans Area Historic Landmarks on
their
Mardi Gras Doubloons.  In 1974, they featured the Historic Pitot Mansion located on beautiful Bayou St. John, within the City Limits of New Orleans.  Many Tourists and Most Locals are familiar with this beautiful Mansion.
This doubloon is much nicer than it appears in the photos.  These Doubloons were issued in Extremely Limited Number and have always been extremely hard to find.  The Doubloon Guide lists this doubloon at .00.  That figure does not include the bezel or necklace.
(Unless Specifically Described as 'Toning,' the Gold, Green, Purple and Blue Hues seen in the photos are the reflection of a Mardi Gras Banner which hangs above my desk.)
